API 600 gate valve is one of the most reliable cut-off devices in the oil, gas, and chemical industries under high temperature and pressure conditions.

This standard was developed by the American Petroleum Institute and provides extremely strict regulations on core parameters such as valve body wall thickness, valve stem diameter, sealing surface hardness, and material chemical composition for gate valves. The design pressure rating of API 600 gate valve covers a wide range from atmospheric pressure to ultra-high pressure, and its nominal size can meet various needs from small branch lines to main pipelines. In terms of structural design, the gate valve adopts a bolted connection between the valve cover and the rising stem bracket. The testing process strictly simulates the actual working pressure to ensure that there is no external leakage in the pressure bearing parts of the valve body, and to ensure that the sealing surface between the gate plate and the valve seat has no visible internal leakage. It is precisely this quality control system, which is intricately linked from design, material selection to detection, that enables API 600 gate valves to achieve long-term, fault free and stable operation in hydrocracking units, catalytic reforming units, and desulfurization and dehydration systems in natural gas processing plants.

For process pipelines that require frequent switching operations or bidirectional cutoff, API 600 gate valves have become the preferred standard configuration for engineering and technical personnel due to their sturdy metal sealing structure and simple and reliable opening and closing actions.

In addition, the packing box of gate valve adopts flexible graphite material combined with live load bolt design, which can automatically adjust the clamping force with temperature changes, effectively control the emission of volatile organic compounds, and meet the dual requirements of environmental protection and safety in modern factories.
